ABSTRACT
Teenagers who have law problems will experience psychological changes that affect the formation of their self concept and life meaning. The teenager prisoners who have self concept disturbance will have inability of life meaning. The research aims to draw the relation between self concept and life meaning ability of the teenager prisoners at Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas 1 Semarang. This study is a correlation analytic study using cross sectional design. The data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and simple linier regression. The sampling technique used total sampling. The result shows that 17 respondent have positive self concept with high life meaning and 4 respondent have positive self concept but low life meaning. One respondent has negative self concept with high life meaning and 3 respondents have negative self concept and low life meaning. It is concluded that there is a positive relation between self concept with life meaning ability of the teenager prisoners (R = 0,533). The higher the number of self concept, the higher the life meaning ability. Self concept contributes of 28.4% of life meaning.
