Abstract
The development of Islamic banks in Indonesia very rapidly demonstrated with the development of assets, financial performance and employment. That condition can not be separated from the system of good governance. Many empirical evidence shows the effect of implementation of corporate governance on the performance of Islamic banks. However, the measurement of the performance of Islamic banks, is still dominated by financial performance, such as ROA and ROE. So the success of corporate governance is also oriented to the achievement of financial performance (ROA and ROE) just as applicable in conventional banks. As already tried to use the performance measurement indicators that more komprehenship accordance with the objectives of sharia. Performance analysis of several Islamic banks using sharia maqashid Index performed relatively low, especially for the benefit of the people.
