Abstract

The problem of this study are the factors that determine the success of empowerment (empowerment performance). Some strategic factors that have been implemented, such as a empowering the cooperative institution, increasing access to sources of fund, empowering the cooperative resource, empowering the production, developing marketing network, and empowering the information and technology werw intensively studied to determine which factors are the dominant influence on the performance of the empowerment. The research was conducted on 156 members of the cooperative samples were analyzed by using analytical diskriminant. The results showed that the performance of empowerment depends on the attitude of members of the cooperative in responding the institution empowerment, empowerment of information and technology, and the development of marketing network, while other variables such as empowering the production, increasing access to sources of fund, and empowering the cooperative resource are not effects by empowerment performance.
